The Korean Society of Greco-Roman Studies

History

The Korean Society of Greco-Roman Studies was founded in April, 1986. In the same year the Society joined the Korea Academic Research Council (KARC). It became a member of the International Federation of the Societies of Classical Studies (FIEC) in 1989.


Mission and Activities

The Korean Society of Greco-Roman Studies aims to promote both academic research and general understanding of ancient Greek and Roman culture.
The Society's main activities include conferences, both regular (twice a year) and special, and publications of the Journal of Greco-Roman Studies (published three times a year) and monographs in related subjects. The Society also supports Greek and Latin Reading Courses (5 weeks) at the beginning of every year.
